What is a cleanse you might ask!?
Well what I am referring to is a (gasp!) parasite cleanse! You bet, a clear out of the body of unwated invaders who rob you of energy and depress the immune system.
What are the symptoms of having parasites!?
Some people feel them inside crawling around!
Some people see them in the toilet! I know-
But did you know that most are microscopic so can't be seen?
And what is an infection such as a cold or flu but a bacteria or virus living off your energy! (The cheek of them!)
No matter what my health I aim to do two cleanses yearly with one being a 'strict cleanse!'
For I, this means taking cleansing herbs and eating a pure diet that is free of sugar, honey, fruit, wheat, dairy, fresh mushroom, yeast, white rice and white potatoes!
This is a cleanse for the body, mind and spirit.
Changes will happen when you do this. Every time I cleanse something majorly positive happens! I am delightfully watching around me for good things these days!
Of course it's work, and takes discipline, that is part of the cleanse. But wow it is worth it and what a gift to yourself.
When you see how much better a car works that gets serviced each year you'll also feel more inclined to give yourself a service yearly and encourage those you love to do the same!
What happens on a cleanse?
Well expect some angst, as you move through the sugar/ coffee addiction - sorry did I mention, no wine or caffeine either- but imagine how proud of yourself you'll feel!
Your skin will start glowing with health, become clearer and even though you can eat as much as you like, the weight tends to fall off too! One of my current clients has lost 10 kilos in the past 3 week and reports that she looks 10 years younger! Not bad at all. The digestive system needs to move daily as you rid your body of die-off and old matter- a really good thing to do! I noticed this year that I had (another gasp!) a layer of fat over my tummy! Well that disappeared too! (applause!)
Last night I dreamt of a a parasite in my body being killed! Boom and gone- well maybe I did have one and not know, but hey according to me dream it's gone!
What I'd like to do is share with you this as an option to not just regain health but to also super boost yourself. You deserve it! Every year we can actually get better and better! Don't take on the aging story and instead choose to become more and more your optimal, true and happy self. It sure is more of a journey than destination but is a lovely journey with many feel good stop off view points along the way.It feels so amazing to be going a feel-good direction!

The Delight Meditation
Awareness of delight in the moment is the greatest guide to harmony. It guides us along a path that is for our higher good and the higher good of all. Meditating upon delight is incredibly powerful and a quick way of aligning with the soul self. It will increases awareness of light and delight. It helps one:
- Attune to peace and joy which will then seen more obvious in daily life.
- Recognise the optimal path for your optimal life, and thus, help you make wise and loving decisions.
- Tune into moment by moment soul guidance.
- Connect with your inner vision.
- Experience abundance and joy.
- Be aware of delight in any moment.
- Feel ease regardless of what is occurring.
- 5 breaths:Move awareness from the mind to the stomach muscles.
- Push the stomach muscles into the spine to exhale, once you exhale keep the stomach muscles held in for a few seconds as you pause.
- When it feels natural, push the stomach muscles out, as a breath is naturally drawn in. Again pause for a moment holding the full breath i. Repeat for 5 breaths to get in the flow.
- For 5 more breaths continue but focus upon feeling the air entering the leaving the nostrils. Feel the heart spae opening.
- For 5 breaths focus for a few seconds on the pause in between the breaths.
- Call in the feeling of delight and locate it somewhere on your body. It is still or moving? Observe it x 5 breaths.
Like to go to the next step!?
- Visualise a white light surrounding your aura.
- For 10 breaths:
- Inhale light and the feeling of delight from the white light of your aura into your heart.
- Exhale the light and the feeling delight light back out into the light which surrounds your aura.
- After 10 breaths the body and aura will be radiating white light and full of the feeling of delight.
Like to take it a step further!?
I recently started on another cleanse. as this stage they are like second nature and not being on a cleanse has come more of a novelty than being on a cleanse! I love feeling well and it just becomes a natural happy way of life after a while. But I also enjoy throwing it all up in the air every now and then and seeing how things settle. Regularly at least twice a year I get the calling and so here I am again: Entering cleanse time!
My normal cleanse routine is written about a fair bit on this website. It includes taking the herbs as recommended by Dr Hulda Clark; wormwood, cloves and walnut hull tincture and two amino acids which support energy, rest and rejuvenation. These are taken for 4 -6 weeks in association with an alternative diet. The diet requires no sugar, dairy, wheat, white potatoes, white rice, yeast, mushrooms, fruit and honey.
This time I'm designing a cleanse to suit my needs. The first question I asked myself yesterday was,
Why am I doing/committing to this cleanse?
For everyone the answer is different and there is no right or wrong, but I believe the answer is essential for finding one's motivation and to help enjoy the experience as much as possible.

Mid month feedback:
So today is the 13th and here is a bit of feedback for you. Giving up sugar has been great, it's not been that difficult (due to honey and fruit) and today I feel very well. Any discipline may take a few days or weeks to adapt to. I am loving the hour in nature each day. My center feels settled and I can return to feel this with greater ease. My mind feels sharper, energy level higher, emotional state today is excellent- peaceful, happy and content. I've been enjoying my special super tonic every morning- will blog on that next. Cut down on quantity of food (naturally) and joyful that there are another few weeks to see what happens. Maybe i'll even finish the project I'm working on!?

10 days ago I headed off on a mini retreat, a living retreat really. Feeling deeply thankful and grounded right now. Spent the past 10 days in the UK and am so grateful for the fullness of these experiences. Started with a wonderful plane ride from Dublin to a 24 hour kirtan in Brimingham with about 300- 500 people singing, chanting, dancing and meditating. Just amazing, there are no words for the love which surges through in these experiences. At one stage on the Saturday night while dancing and signing, I felt two portals in my brain open and this energy shoot through into other parts of my mind! The mana of ecstatic bliss! In a time when the world needs love and gentleness and we blossom so beautifully in such a true place of love and light, these gatherings whether large or small are priceless and dear to this being. My heart is overflowing with gratitude to those who create these events, and to those I meet along the way, such beloved souls that there is nothing but gratitude, deep love, appreciation and something else I do not have the words to express. So sweet. Thank youto the special people I met and connected with.
Thissmile emoticThiThis incredible journey then continued to London where I stayed with my amazing sister whose kindness and generosity is beautifully limitless. Following a day of progress and good work, took the train to Brighton where I spent 4 days and 3 nights catching up with my dear friend Chantelle from New Zealand, while working during the day and chatting and catching up morning and night. Such friendships are the gifts that keep on giving. Complete open conversation and connection with another is such a joyous experience, its not about agreeing with each other, but rather about being clear and open and coming from love regardless of what is being said. Such beautiful experiences and conversations can occur this way.
Back in London I got to catch up with some clients who have evolved so gloriously over the past few years and especially over the past 6 months that I feel like putting them on television so others can gain from their experiences and brilliance! Of course it's not always easy when you are evolving, but having some guidance, practices and awareness really helps! Such grand appreciation dear life.
A lovely weekend full of ease, productivity and peace followed with my sister and nephew! What a blessed 10 day experience mama Earth. I feel so very subtly transformed! Thank you for taking such care of I as I journey, and I haven't included so many other things such as gifted special encounters with lovely people and expanding awareness.
This morning I had a dream before I awoke where I was 2 years old. I had similar clarity to now but didn't understand other people or how the world worked. Why weren't people always kind!? Why didn't they tell the truth, why did they 'hurt'!? I recalled and re-experienced an event that occurred at that age that my conscious mind had forgotten. I felt a hurt from that event in the dream that when I awoke I could still feel very subtly in my adult body. Since this morning I've been transforming it into light and love & am feeling very well! I am so grateful for the unexpected gifts of awareness and abundance that continue to unfold. I'm offering this moment to energetically and physically thank and acknowledge life and the wonderful kind souls who helped make this trip something truly special. I will share this joy. These are just a guideline, please make informed healthy decisions for yourself! CLICK HERE TO PURCHASE!
I find on the cleanse, that initially it may take 3 -7 days to make a successful food transition. Even with the best of intentions I may have a little bit here and within reason use that is in the fridge/ cupboard and not let food go to waste. I also may eat a fair amount at various stages depending on how I feel! This can help one smooth into the new phase of eating. Ideally, do not eat a lot late at night. The idea of breakfast to break - the - fast, so some form of stomach emptying is highly beneficial for your own healing. Don't go to bed starving! But a large decent breakfast will support you much more than a late night meal.
Quantity is not such a big deal and often in the past I've been known to have five meals a day plus snacks to survive! Likewiise sometimes my body cuts right down and desires very little food. I trust my body to inform me of what I require. Ask it and listen! I also keep an eye on things and ensure I am supplying enough food to support the energy output required. Remember, just don't go to bed too stuffed!
It really depends on your body type. What I'm saying is don't go hungry, it's not about that. Be organised, stock up on nice healthy food, make good decent meals and bring nibbles or food with you if you are heading out for a while so you don't get stuck, e.g. nuts such as almonds (raw) seeds such as organic pumpkin and sunflower seeds, brown rice cakes or ryvita and hummus... Most people find they eat better on a cleanse than ever before!
I've seen hundreds of people go through this cleanse and one thing I've learned is that the best results come from those who are strict to the core with the diet and the taking of the herbs. If you are going to do it, do it properly! On a more compassionate note, if you do slip up, don't give up! Get back on and keep going. In the past I slipped up but continued anyhow and then the next cleanse I did 6 months later was much easier as my mind was clearer in that I wished to experience (out of curiosity as much as anything else) the best result possible!

Back to business! Cleanse Foods:
Recommend dietary changes:
- Eliminate sugar
- Eliminate fruit
- Eliminate wheat
- Eliminate dairy (cow products!)
- Eliminate coffee
- Eliminate white rice, potatoes
- Eliminate vinegar and yeast (includes some breads, balsamic vinegar, pickled foods- Apple Cider Vinegar - such as Braggs ACV is the only exception here)
All these feed parasites- so during the cleanse you are ridding them from your body by:
- Starving them (by not feeding them)
- Taking herbs to kill them off and eliminate them from your body
- Taking amino acidsto help the body rebuild and have energy.
The big important question! What can you eat!?
Here’s a general list of foods that are great for you and that you can eat plentifully during the cleanse:
I've included meat/ fish/ goats products/ eggs as have seen many achieve successful results while still eating these foods. It is a personal decision though, if that helps you to eat those foods, that is fine. Likewise a vegan based approach will exclude all of these, is good for the environment, world and your body. Enter the cleanse at where it feels right to you. Make this one as easy as possible and then in 6 months or 1 year when you are ready for another, step it up a gear if you wish! Whatever appraoch you use and expecially if it is vegan, ensure that you have plenty of good oils in your intake. These include coconut oil, olive oil, avocados and flaxseed oil. At present I am going vegan when I cleanse and also do not include onion or garlic.
Bread/sugar free/dairy free bread!
Spelt bread is great. Soul bakery make a brown spelt and white spelt bread which you can use, cost €3.99. Available in Super Value, Dunnes around Ireland as well as other shops. This is a usual in my diet though I must admit I always toast it as I think it tastes better (with avocado/ hummus or coconut oil with a sprinkle of sea salt which acts as a wonderful butter replacement).
Many farmers markets and other shops also supply various non wheat breads.
Bake your own which you can buy in a pack at the gluten free/special dietary section of the supermarket- if you are baking your own- you can try soy/almond/coconut/goatmilk instead of dairy. Although spelt has some gluten it is minimal and the body can usually deal with it quite easily.
Whatever bread you go for just remember that it is to be wheat free/ dairy free and sugar free!
Any lactose free milk - Soy Milk/ Almond milk/Rice milk. I tend to vary my milk supply each week depending on what calls me. Ensure the one you choose while on the cleanse is “unsweetened” as there can be a lot of sugar and sweeteners added to some milks. I particularly like “unsweetened” Almond Milk these days.
Occasional sweetener you can use after first 4 weeks: Stevia (buy online or in health store) This is a green leafy herb that is sweeter than sugar. It has not the same mass as sugar- which means it will not create the same effect when baking, however, you can add it into sauces or whatever you are cooking/baking for a sweeter effect. A little goes along way- it is way sweeter than sugar. A pinch or one drop is enough. It is actually good for your pancreas and doesn’t affect your blood sugar levels the same way sugar does.
Herbals teas are great-
- green tea or mate for energy,
- chamomile for relaxing your digestive system and sleeping,
- mint for digestion and going to the loo,
- nettle for cleansing, acidic blood and painful joints.
- Sample plenty of teas while on the cleanse as they help you feel well and it’s a good time to experiment with new things.
Cheese and so on
Simply come off all dairy, and instead go for vegan cheese such as violife, available from health stores.
If you love dairy though and would rather stay on it, it is essential to give up cow dairy products, but you may be able to take some goat’s milk products.
There is a great range of goat’s cheeses available, including hard cheeses, feta, soft cheese and so on, (from lidl, supervalue, dunnes, farmers markets…) It can be lovely with some toasted spelt bread, with some coconut oil spread on it, and tomatoe, heated as a toasted sandwich, then before serving add some fresh sliced cucumber and or spinach leaves for a healthy and tasty snack.
Breakfast Ideas and Snacks:
- Porridge- Oats are fine, mix with non-dairy milk, cinnamon, cloves and chai spices add delicious flavour.
- Nonsweetened millet puffs, brown rice puffs or spelt puffs (from health store) with almond milk- very tasty
- Scrambled eggs on spelt toast
- Avocado on ryvita crackers, sliced tomatoes on toast with spinach and goats chese
- Spelt pancakes, fresh salad...
- Green juices.
Eggs: Boiled, poached, scrambled (if you are into them!)
All on spelt toast with a sprinkle of salt
Or Ryvita crackers
Or brown rice cakes
Or multigrain cakes (like rice cakes from Aldi)
Try a salad at any time of day- also fantastic for breakfast - and gives the body great morning energy- that will be seen within about 1 hour in your glowing skin (no joke!).
Choose a combination of any salad foods including the above and
All green leaves
Cucumber, cucumber, cucumber! Love this!
All salad food-
Beetroot ( non-vinegar)
Grated raw carrot and raw beetroot with lemon juice, olive oil, salt and pepper- delicious!
Baby spinach, all green leaves.
Almonds/ walnuts/ macademia nus/
Pumpin/ sunflower/ linseeds...
Salad Nicoise- Lettuce leaves, olives, soft boiled eggs, flakes goat cheese.
Chicken/prawn/tofu caesar salad. Green leaves, flakes of hard goats cheese, olive oil combined with some bbq/grilled.... prawns/ chicken or tofu.
Warm grilled goats cheese salad- Salad leaves with some beetroot, almonds and warm grilled goats cheese.
Walnut, avocado and goats cheese ( or vegan cheese) salad; green leaves, have an avocado, lots of walnuts, and warm grilled goats cheese ( or ceubed vegan cheese) and lots of fresh leaves.
Roasted vegetables on a bed of salad with any of the above ingredients.
Courgette, goats cheese and basil Frittata- Use some garlic/ onion ( if you wish) when frying courgette- delicious with salad.
Brown Rice - instead of white rice
Sweet potatoes - Very tasty cut into wedges and baked in the over, they take a while to cook but taste sensational. Not for everyday but can have twice a week or so. Instead of regular potatoes. If you must eat a regular potato, the best way is baked in the oven as it releases less sugar into the system.
All vegetables (not too much corn or carrots as can be sweet- but a bit is fine)
Make/bake bread/ scones/ pizza bases etc- (Use spelt or look up gluten free, dairy free, sugar free recipes online- there are loads, sure try some out).
Meat/ chicken/ fish/ Tofu (if you eat them!) all fine- bbq or cook how you like and eat with salad/ veg/ sweet potatoes/ brown rice/
Instead of regular pasta, eat brown rice pasta/ vegetable pasta/ spelt pasta... Very tasty
Mix “Braggs amino spray”(from the store), add broccoli, chopped up mushrooms, add half a cup of hot water mixed with a teaspoon bullion, add salt and pepper, served on a bed of spelt pasta with grated or flakes of goats/ vegan cheese.
Vegan curry with lots of veg, lots of good quality coconut cream and spices on a bed of brown rice/ quinoa. Get's better day on day so make a great amount and use for a few days or freeze!
Try quinoa- its’ a South American grain instead of rice or as another option- instead of couscous- it’s really nice, slightly nutty like yourself and has protein in it which is great for giving you energy- can have it with stir fry or cold with salad. Try cooking it in vegetable stock (bouillon) or season well as it carries flavor nicely.
Try beans! Butter bean, kidney beans... these add sweetness to dishes and are a greatsource of protein.
Try Dahl! I love dahl, lentil based indian dish. Wonderful on a bed of brown rice. Mix lentils, wil carrots and even some sweet potatoe and tomatoes (if you like) with some spices. Delicious!
Soups are also a great source of nourishment. One of my favourites is butternut squash, roasted, then mixed with chilli, veg bouillion and lots of coconut cream! Yum!
Raw nuts might become one of your close friends;- Almonds, hazelnuts (go organic if you can, otherwise, Aldi provide affordable options). Stay away from roasted, heavily salted and moldy nuts! Also most advise to staty away from peanuts!
Ryvita crackers, avocado...
Any crackers that are wheat free, sugar free and dairy free. – Ryvita is the main one.
Almond and all nut butters are delicious ( go oraganic - health stores sell a large organic almondt butter at quite good value).
Coconut oil- again available in Dunnes, and Super Value and health stores,- use instead of butter. Very nice with a sprinkle of salt on crackers or toast.
Try rice cake with coconut oil with avocado and sprinkle of salt and pepper for yummy tasty treat.
Try Ryvita crackers with almond butter and thinly sliced strawberry (once a week- no more than one strawberry!)
Add cinnamon- 2 teaspoons a day reduces sugar cravings massively and is good for you..
Sugar- a teaspoon of cinnamon daily and or/ 15 mls of apple cider vinegar in hot or cold water also helps to sort out sugar cravings and cleanse your body. Also supplement with extra fish oil/ flaxseed oil – (3 – 4 capsules daily). Some people have even come out of Type two Diabetes this way

It's a yearly project I and many others love to undertake in order to stay well and involves taking certain herbs for 5 weeks or so combined with this special diet. It is Dr Hulda Clark's parasite cleanse as sold on this website.
Basically you stop feeding all parasites, the list above is what they feed off and so stop eating these foods, though eat as much as you like of other foods ( vegetables, quinoa, brown rice, asparagus, hummus, chili, tofu, almond milk, spelt puffs, avocados...)! While doing this, one takes the herbs as recommended by Dr Hulda Clark and two amino-acids to support the liver and clear out waste.
- This cleanse really helps clear one's mind as well one's body of parasites and toxins.
- It is highly beneficial to to do a proper cleanse at least once a yearl
Do it once, do it properly and see what happens is how I like to approach this experience.
Of course the focus is not on what you can’t have, it is more on what you can have and if you are interested I can send you a document with info on foods that comply with this approach and lovely superb meal ideas! Seriously!
The last cleanse I completed was in July/August/September. I completed the cleanse with my lovely house mates ( which can really help!)
Here is some of what I wrote back then: Today marks 4 full weeks of this approach and what a wonderful journey it’s been. I feel great!!!I am utterly delighted the success of those around me who are also doing this cleanse. I used to follow the above food guideline for years when I lived in beautiful New Zealand, but let it go in the past few years. I enjoyed complete liberty with my desires, cake, wished for it? I ate it! I liked things like dark chocolate, good quality tasty cake, butter, biscuits, the odd coffee, and basically whatever I felt like I enjoyed. Luckily I’m fairly well trained into enjoying fresh salad leaves daily and am naturally drawn to beautiful healthy food. Still I enjoyed complete freedom with my food but knew also I was ready for a cleanse! I can tell you that it was a bit of a challenge at times though, especially from day 11 –13! It was lovely to observe my body cleansing itself, and my attachment to sugar dissolving!
The desire for sugar felt a lot of like the desire for food!
So stuffing Ryvita crackers in my mouth on day 11 didn't help it go away! A few longs hugs I shared with friends though did really help!
I'm now only taking the herbs once a week as a maintenance, I feel so well though that I'll stay on this food approach for the forseable future, and gradually introduce some fruit back into my diet.
