Ancients Sites and Adventure in the West of Ireland
10 days ago I set sail (in my car!) on a trip of discovery. I let go of the ropes(handbrake!) and off we went...
I have felt called for a while to visit the West of Ireland, some sacred sites and beautiful people.
I had the fortune of having a friend join me for the first few days as well as a friend to stay with in Cork and a couple of parties to attend plus the Cork Jazz festival. It was off to a good start! I had been working in a very focused manner for months and felt the call to shake things up a bit, refresh everything and have time to adventure, meditate and experience self-discovery in the West.
I love the people of the West, who tend to be a different flavour to those of the east of Ireland, whom I also love! Earthy,
I purposefully didn’t plan too much so I could be open to what arose moment by moment.
By not knowing how each day would unfold, I remained open to all posibilities and had such a wonderful journey. Each day I was guided in where to stay (who to contact as I was fortunate enough to stay with beautiful people at every location). I didn’t know before 6pm most evenings where I would be staying that night, but it worked out so gracefully I am in awe and strengthened my already strong confidence in the on going moment by moment guidance.
A big theme was relationships- on all levels; with myself, friends, the Divine, life, ... ( or maybe this is actualy all the same thing!?) :) . Relating with others can bring me so much joy, and also can teach us a lot about ourselves. Over this trip I was able to observe myself, the feelings that arose. I could see more clearly where I was in resistance and at ease. I had the time and space to really be and feel with whatever arose and allow it to come through.
My heart opened further every time someone welcomed me. I got to have and listen to some good conversations with others and with myself!
Got to dance all night into the early morning with the lovely people of West Cork. I caught up with friends for tea and chats and each person I met, I saw them well and blossoming. What a gift.
Got lost in West Cork down back roads and laneways. It was like trying to get out of quick sand getting out of there, the delight I felt when I found lights on a road after hours of driving dark backroads, brought a tear to my eye. A friendly message being invited to stay at a friend’s place gave me immense energy and light when I was tried and feeling alone.
Enjoyed dusk alone on the 1st of November on the capstone of Carrowmore Dolmen and megalithic cemetery.
Wandered the land of Carokweel and sat in the energy of our ancient ancestors and star family.
Allowed myself to sit on the catstone at Uisneach and cry and laugh and ponder and wander.
Wandered through Kinsale and walked the beaches Salthill and Enniscrone. Visited the town of my grandmother, Ballina and felt such a kinship and love for the people there.
My heart opened and softened. LETTING GO was the main theme of this trip. It started about one week before and now one week after it is still playing out. What a wonderful journey with the understanding of letting go evolving day on day. Letting go continues to deliver greater ease, gentleness and happiness to the present moment. I am grateful. I am space. May we all feel the ease, joy and expansion of letting go grace.
I will continue with this theme and see what further awaits :)
Now I am back to work. I feel ready, able and excited!

Here are some questions I have asked myself to gain insight. I thought I'd share a few questions here in case you'd also like to give it a go...
When you think about letting go what comes to mind?
Without thinking for more a second for each question I encourage you to name out loud whatever comes to mind. Write it out even for some powerful insights. Name out loud any of which come to mind in the following:
Can you name 3 things you would like to let go of?
How would you like look and feel if you did?
If you are to bring ‘letting go,’ right into this present moment into how you hold yourself and are, how would that change you? Would you do something different to what you are doing? Would you feel different? Can you imagine this now and feel your face and body relax?
Are there any pains you would like to let go of?
Any resistance in your life you’d welcome letting go of?
How about any goals you’d like to release and let go of?
After much journeying I have rememberd that it is the idea I have of these things in my imagination that I am Letting Go of... and that is what it is all about. Anything I don't like? I let go of my idea of it! Any practise I don't like, I let go of my idea of it...and that opens up the now.

Open, here and willing to be with that which arises. Quite fantastic and fascinating really!

Cleanse time again!
Have you been considering a cleanse?
It is October and time for me to return to one of my favourite practices- cleansing! Twice a year I cleanse to boost my entire wellbeing. It involves taking special herbs as well following as a special diet. The basis of this is removing sugar, honey, fruit, wheat, dairy(cow), white rice, caffeine, potatoes, fresh mushrooms and yeast, as these things bring down the immune system and feed parasites. It is natural for us to be host to a whole load of bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites, both health enriching and depleting. The whole approach of taking herbs and following the special food guidelines; cleanses out the bad boys, boosts the good ones and gives the whole body and mind good energy and greatly supports general health and wellbieng.
So what can you eat!? Well, plenty! Consider, avocado on spelt bread, hummus, olives, cucumber and spinach on ryvita, roasted sweet potatoes with fresh salad and chickpea burgers, porridge, raw almonds, falafel and so much more, as well as eggs, chicken, meant, and fish if you so like.
A cleanse clears many bugs and parasites boosting the immune system and general health. Parasites are linked to many autoimmune system health issues as well as skin issues, digestive issues and especially tiredness. People can lose 80 % of their energy to these pesty invaders!
Imagine going from living off 20% of your energy to 100%- thats 5 times more energy. Can you imagine!? How much easier it would be to get out of bed, go for a run/ walk, smile going to work, enjoy time with the kids?…
Each time I cleanse, I sleep about an hour less and after 2-3 weeks have much more energy. It also clears the body from reliance on refined sugars and caffeine for energy and resets the whole energy system as well as gives one’s digestive system, skin and energy a beautiful healthy boost. You'll find this is an emtional cleanse as well as a physical, mental and spiritual clearing.

The first time I cleansed was for over 2 years and then twice yearly thereafter for well over 10 years. It has always occurred too that when I cleanse, something not so nice leaves my life and something lovely enters ! This I put down to the increase in vibration and wellbeing that occurs from this practice. A cleanse takes at least 3 weeks and it is recommended one usually cleanse for 3 -6 weeks, though if one has health issues, it be for longer such as 3 -6 months. Each person is unique as is their healing.

Everyone is a star. Everyone is a hero. The heroic version of yourself is inside you and it is awakening. It sits in the heart and is aligned with love. It awakens to love and to service. Your One Major Purpose is the one thing more than any other thing you have a calling to experience. It may be something that you:
- Never told anyone about,
- Do not even believe is possible or
- May not know what it is yet.
You’ll recognize it as something that powerfully excites, frightens or moves you. The potential to fulfill this will motivate you to get out of bed in the morning and do, say and be many things that you take you towards and into its realization which will even in your imagination feel superbly fascinating and joyous!
It is helpful to have at least one clear aim or intention even if it is as wonderfully general as being happy. Feel free to change it as you like. It’s a good idea to keep this private.
Put it on a piece of paper and into your wallet. Read and enjoyably visualise daily!
When I first started working with this, my one major aim was to know what my one major aim was! We all have to start somewhere and where ever you are is the right place for you right now. It’s all good! Take a few minutes now to close your eyes, breathe deeply. Bring your awareness to your heart space and ask yourself, What is my One Major Purpose? See if a vision comes to mind or a word and write it down. Being going through a rough spell!?
Sometimes this happens. The journey has many aspects to it, up hill, down hill, rough terrain, sunny days and so on... after all it is a journey :)
Simply have to go through this time/this scenery, but how we respond to it is totally up to us.
It may feel rough sometimes but instead of complaining and screaming (because you can -and often people think that because they can that they should!) you can choose to allow love to move through you.
Easier said than done I know but it starts with choice. You can choose how to respond to the rough terrain of your journey. Remember that it is temporary, that it will pass and that everything is actually okay. I choose to approach this moment through love or harmony or humour or...! I dare myself to turn a challenge on it's head and be in gratitude!
If resistance arises I know my ego is being triggered! There is an attachment to a story that my mind is projecting onto present day situations. Life is always here to help us.
This can happen to us all. It is interesting to recognise it in the moment, and ask what is this story, when is the first time in my life this type of story arose? How can I handle this differently?...
Breathing calmly for one minute as often as you remember works wonders too...
Strangely enough no matter what the story, if I can break it down to this very moment I realise that in this very moment everything is actually okay.
It is not about avoiding the crisis(rough terrain), it's more about learning to navigate through it. This makes ALL the difference. Meditation, healing and any activities that help us feel good support this while also imbuing us with good energy on a daily basis. This is where 's where a daily practice of prayer/ exercise/ meditation/ the soul's goals can work wonders!
So whether the terrain is easy or challenging I invite you to get into some form of daily practice, even if it is 5 minutes of breathing calmly while sitting on your bed before you get up.
The new Earth is here. The terrain can be rough at times, but it does get easier and can be really enjoyable! There is love everywhere and we are supported by life.
Get yourself into a daily practice it will make you feel great about yourself! And if it gets really rough call in a healer/ therapist/ friend- sure that's why we are here!
Everyone passes through rough terrain at various points but one can learn to recognise it, not get sucked into the drama of it and respond from a place of ease and knowing that everything is temporary and that life is actually helping them somehow. Here's to surrender, to seeing the gift in all situations, and to compassion for each other.
We are not alone, we are all One and here to serve each other xXx
